Mon-El; Codename: Assassin; Mirabai; General Sam Lane; Atlas; Sgt. Kelly (cameo); Major Force (cameo); Specialist Jenny Blake [Natasha Irons] (cameo); Metallo (cameo); Parasite; Dr. Calomar; The Guardian [Jim Harper clone]; Science Police (cameo); Bizarro Superman #1 (cameo)
Synopsis:
Mon-El awakens as a prisoner of Project 7734 on Mirabai's world. All he has to do is promise to follow General Lane, and he will be freed (the alternative is to be sent to the lab to be taken apart). Lane introduces the others who follow him; but Mon-El is unimpressed, and picks the lab. Atlas keeps pounding him to unconsciousness to soften him up, to no avail. Eventually, the Parasite sneaks into Mon-El's cell, and they form a pact to escape together and return to Earth. Mon-El agrees, and they accomplish the escape (Parasite gets through first). Arriving at the Project on Earth, Mon-El finds that it has been trashed. General Lane is there, and explains that Brainiac and Luthor did it. Lane knows he can't stop Mon-El from leaving, but taunts him, saying he can achieve nothing now. Mon-El disagrees. Later, Bizarro attacks Metropolis, with the Science Police confronting him.
