Story ties in to Action Comics #980, which shows Cyborg Superman and the Eradicator arrive at Belle Reve to in an attempt to free General Zod, and Action Comics #981, which shows what happens to the Kryptonian trio after the events of this issue.

Rick Flag is lost in the Phantom Zone and believed to be dead. However, he is next seen in the Zone in issue #30 and escapes from the Zone in issue #31.
