Kid Colt; Rance Barlow (Introduction, Villain)
Kid Colt rides into a range war between sheepherders (the "intruders") and Rance Barlow's cattlemen and hired guns. He meets a girl Nancy and stays over to help fight, but he's not a gun-for-hire. When Nancy is kidnapped, KC dives in, guns blazing, fists flying Rance Barlow caves and peace is declared. But KC is "wanted in Wyoming for some killin's" (See KC #130.) so rides out.

Scott McCord (Introduction); Patch Larson (Villain)
Kid Colt rousts rustlers with blazing six-guns, but is creased and knocked out. He's captured by Scott McCord, federal marshal, who contends KC killed his brother. The killer had a yellow beard and gold medallion. The rustlers get the drop and capture both. KC throws in with the rustlers - long enough to hustle McCord to safety. They drop an avalanche on the rustlers. And KC rides out to find a killer with a yellow beard and gold medallion - and possibly clear his name!
