Reader Carlos Barrera praises "the absoluteky horrifying way the Leader is written and drawn." Reader Sassy Steve salutes the art for its "intense body horror and pure cosmic terror." For reader Carlos from Cuba it is "the most terrifying comic he has read this year because it truly strikes fear with the many forms of monstrosity it displays" and compares the craft with the work of Cronenberg and Carpenter. Reader Inaki Sanchez finds the message of the book quite Blakean in its opposition between an unlimited demonic force and a god, "Faced with modern horrots, it seems gto me the most necessary story in these times."
