Assuming this to be an original cover by Western Publishing, and given the time period in which it was produced, the artist might also have been Carl Buettner.

Danny Dooit; Danny's mom; Danny's dad; Dud (dog); Zero (pup)
Because he is homeless, Felix has decided to winter in the South...
To escape a cold northeast winter, Felix literally walks down to Georgia having many misadventures along the way. There, he meets a lonely little boy, Danny Dooit, who loves the cat. However, Danny's parents do not want a cat in the house, and send Felix away. Broken-hearted, Danny sets out to find his beloved pet.

Story starts on inside front cover and ends on inside back cover.

More of a linear and cohesive story, keeping to a minimum the frequent non-sequiturs of some of the other Dell Felix strip reprints of a similar vintage.

Skidoo the Mouse

Back cover displays two yellow strips across its width. The strips are each 1.5 inches high, and are placed at the very top and the very bottom of the back cover. Within these strips are various action poses of Felix, presumably repurposed from the Felix the Cat newspaper comic strip. The remaining back cover space in the center is left blank to contain the name and logo of the business using the comic as a promotional item.

After chasing Skidoo, roller skating, pitching a baseball, frying a fish, etc. the final "action pose" of Felix finds the cat asleep.
