While pledged to watch over Dr. Calvin until she is healed Ka-Zar finds himself stuck in the city. He rescues a pusher from an attack and ends up involved in a turf war. When The Pusher attempts to kidnap Dr. Calvin he stops him and his men but Dr. Calvin has a relapse. Later it turns out that one of the men he took to the police is Dr. Calvin's son.

Items about how Shanna the She-Devil #1 (written by Carol Seuling and drawn by George Tuska) was helped out at the last minute by additional dialogue from Steve Gerber, who also wrote his first solo script in Fear #11 (Man-Thing, drawn by Rich Buckler), information on Gothic Thrillers #1 (featuring a Roy Thomas adaptation of Theodore Sturgeon's story called "It!" with artwork by Marie Severin and Frank Giacoia with a cover by Jim Steranko), information on Jim Steranko also doing the cover to Doc Savage, the Man of Bronze #2, information on Journey Into Mystery #2 featuring an adaptation of the Robert Bloch story "Yours Truly, Jack the Ripper" by Gil Kane and Ron Goulart and a note about how Ron Goulart wrote the novel "After Things Fell Apart". Also includes a small illustration of the Monster of Frankenstein advertising his new series. Marvel checklist for comics now on sale!
