The first UFO was seen on June 24, 1947 near Mt. Ranier Washington. The designation U.F.O. supposedly didn't come into circulation until 1952. (?) This is probably the very first comic book story about U.F.O.s. The version reprinted in this volume includes the addition of "UFO" at the bottom of the story's splash page in very large lettering (completely absent on the original printing). Additionally, newer typeset text appears at the bottom of Page 7, referencing events from later decades.
