On The Windcloud, a sailing cruise ship with a southern Baptist Church group, Coley befriends Gail, who doesn't believe he's gay, and Greg, who's interested. Coley shocks the group by dancing wildly at a beach party with Gail. Later, after arriving on "Voodoo Island", Coley wanders off into the jungle to take photos, unaware that a pair of mysterious locals are watching him.

Splash reads "Coley On The Edge". 2nd finished Coley story; although "Bus Ride" was done earlier, all the episodes in this book take place before it. 1st 4 pages appear to have been designed for a PLAYBOY magazine-type "comics section". After 6 weeks of unrestrained sex, Coley is ready to return home. The witch doctor decides to tell Coley "the whole truth" which Lulu neglected. Coley will live fast, burn out and die early. But in the meantime, he is immune to all diseases, including AIDS. He tells Coley to "Be happy, defy convention." On the way home, Coley thinks, "I've got myself a brand new box o' mathces!"
