Arak, Son of Thunder
Arak; Satyricus; Irene
Just as they return to Byzantium, Arak and Satyricus have to defend themselves from an escaped lioness. Arak manages to capture it, earning the friendship of the Green faction and the offer to fight on their chariot team in a coming tournament. But, this is no simple sporting event. Arak's driver is murdered by the competition and he has to avenge the death in front of thousands of screaming fans in the hippodrome. Arak is now the hero of the hour, but that means nothing when he realizes the lioness he captured earlier is to be burned alive. But wait! The lioness has now become a woman!
