Synopsis:
Annie sells newspaper strips until the family she is helping is forced to move to the country for health reasons. In a small town she becomes first a waitress and later a part-owner in a small cafe. At the cafe she hears enough gossip to discover the location of the loot stolen from a train. When she helps the cops recover the loot and arrest those responsible, she is captured by a gang and taken back to the city. She escapes, and is returned to the orphanage, which catches fire.
