Editor Gruenwald discusses several tidbits and shows the covers to West Coast Avengers (Marvel, 1984 series) #2 and Iron Man (Marvel, 1968 series) #187. Both of those issues sport an October 1984 cover date which likely means that the publication date for this issue is also that month.
