First Line: Mickey and Goofy are engineer and fireman on a small mountain railroad, the Tankburg, Cinder City & Pacific. Unknown to them, a gang is plotting to steal the train and sell it to a railroad hobbyist for a fortune...
Synopsis: Railroad cars continue to "vanish" on Mickey and Goofy's watch. An angry Mr. Boomer blames the pair for the disappearances and orders them to go over every inch of track on foot in order to locate the missing cars. Meanwhile, during Mickey and Goofy's demotion, the Clinker Brothers are hired by Mr. Boomer to run the engine, playing right into the hands of Gruggers who is behind the thefts.
