The leader of the military academy is drawn as a parody of actor Charles Bronson. A thief trying to steal tires off of Punisher's battle van is drawn exactly like Blaze [Scott Fisher], a member of the Doom Patrol from DC Comics which Larsen drew from March to December of 1988.
