The Phantom Eagle [Mickey Malone]; Mr. Prescott; Crass
Synopsis:
A strange phenomenon is happening over International Airlines Headquarters when the sky is filled with planes that can't land. Radios aren't working so there is no way to stop incoming planes from crashing so The Phantom Eagle is called on for help. He finds that the planes are trapped in a sphere of energy that they can't escape. One plane can fly in this sphere and they are looting the other planes. The Phantom Eagle kills some of them but soon the leader of the pirates says that he must give up or he will destroy the other planes. The Phantom Eagle gives up and lands where Crass, who was an executive on the Council of International Airlines, is proven to be the boss. He swore revenge on The Phantom Eagle when he exposed his crookedness and he ties up the Phantom Eagle and begins to torture him when other planes following the Phantom Eagle show up. The Phantom Eagle gets away, replaces the pilot on Crass' plane, and captures Crass.
