Synopsis: Mona’s father forbids her to see Bob, “a drunkard’s son!” Mona receives a letter from her Aunt Jane. Jane’s diary tells how she moved to New York and fell in love with young doctor Dick. But Jane learned Dick’s brother had been accused of a notorious murder and broke up with him, even though his brother was cleared. Dick went to China and died of plague. Jane became a nurse and dedicated her life to helping others in India. Mona decides to overrule her father and marry Bob.
