Synopsis:
Mon-El has been proclaimed dead. The sewers of Metropolis have been bombed by a smart bomb with encoded nanotechnology that undoes any fixes attempted. John Henry Irons has been found comatose in Ivy Town. With water for Metropolis cut off, it has become valuable, and Riot and Bloodsport hijack a water truck, but the Science Police stop them. Morgan Edge decries all that is happening, but uplifts the newly-revealed General Lane as a hero, and announces that the US President has made him in charge of the Human Defense Corp. Zatara finds himself a prisoner of Mirabai on her world. She reveals that he did not meet Mark Merlin nor the Parasite, but someone who posed as them. Jim Harper gathers the Science Police to an off-duty event at a bar, announcing that the Jonathan Kent they knew was Mon-El, and toasts him. Billi Harper takes it hard, and talks it over with Jim Harper. He reveals he partnered them so that she could teach and help Mon-El, and also reveals he knows they are related. Wilcox then approaches Harper to discuss Mon-El, telling him she is a recent widow. She then goes home, talks to someone on a cell phone, and picks up a picture of herself as Princess Projectra with Karate Kid, and mourns him, as a Sensor Girl costume is also shown. Codename: Assassin walks with General Lane through several projects at 7734, and end up in front of Mon-El, who is alive but a captive.
