He is invited to visit the Fortress of Solidarity, where the future Superman Squad tells him they are inspired by his example, and not to lose himself during this time. Returned to Nebraska, he finds a flood and tornado going on simultaneously, a situation caused by a mysterious woman. Fortunately, Wonder Woman is also there and, also inspired by Superman, helps. She also encounters the woman, and warns Superman.

Story continued from the previous issue, and continues in the next issue.
This is not a co-writer situation, Roberson is working from Straczynski's plots; they gave him a rough outline that JMS had turned in for the remaining issues of the Grounded arc, which amounted to a sentence or two for each of the issues, spelling out in general terms where the issue would take place geographically, specific guest stars, etc.
The Wonder Woman here is the same version that is concurrently running in JMS's Wonder Woman title. As such, Superman (and the world) does not recognize her, and she only thinks of herself as a warrior defending Amazons, and not as a superhero (although this adventure makes her wonder).
