Story continued from issue #711 and continues in the next issue.

Note that "Grounded Part Ten" was skipped, due to the situation surrounding issue 712. In addition, per Roberson in an email with ComicsAlliance, issue 712 was supposed to open with a one page sequence of Superman rescuing a cat in San Gabriel, California, included as part of a contest that DC ran at the start of this story arc. When that issue's content was pulled, that scene was redrawn as a flashback for this issue.

This is not a co-writer situation, Roberson is working from Straczynski's plots; they gave him a rough outline that JMS had turned in for the remaining issues of the Grounded arc, which amounted to a sentence or two for each of the issues, spelling out in general terms where the issue would take place geographically, specific guest stars, etc.
