Luthor has been kidnapped and hung upside-down off the top of a building. He flashes back to how he got into the situation, starting with his quest to get back the power of a Black Lantern Ring. He and his robot assistant Lois had tracked down the locations of residual black ring energy, but were stopped by the kidnapping. Luthor discovers the brain behind his capture was Mister Mind.
