Devil Dogs Comics {Comic Books}
Note: Per Anthony Tollin: "Shadow creator Walter Gibson almost certainly wrote all the lead stories for this comic. He suggested the book in the first place under the title Rangers. His idea was for a comic featuring stories of the Rangers through all of the wars they had participated in." (Anthony Tollin on 17 August 2004).
In Shadow Comics (Street and Smith, 1940 series) v2#9 [21] (December 1942) had a house advertisement for Yank Ranger Comics, which was the original intended title for this comic. Since Fiction House's Ranger Comics (1942 series) had its first issue (#8) also dated December 1942, it is likely the name change to Devil Dogs Comics was due to Fiction House obtaining the Rangers trademark before Street and Smith could.
