After Ambrose goes outside, Putnam decides to take a few donuts and hide them in his teddy bear. When their mom returns, she thanks Ambrose and blames him for the missing donuts. Putnam, feeling bad for what he's done, puts the donuts back before anyone knows what happened. Seeing the donuts returned, Mrs. Pipps rewards Ambrose, who shares half of it with his brother.
