A sharpie named Drews is dogged by "not a midget", but a real leprechaun who thinks Drews stoles the treasure horde of Finn MacCool from Ireland! The leprechaun sics giant robots on Drews. Tommy Troy becomes The Fly, hides Drews in a cave, smashes robots, and stuffs the leprechaun in a trash can. Drews is visited by the ghost of Finn MacCool and confesses he stole the treasure and sank it off-shore. The Fly posed as Finn. The leprechaun thanks him for this kind deeds and vanishes.

One morning, citizens find a big hole where a skyscraper stood. The Fly dives down and meets Toad(?) People who plan an invasion, so staged a test by stealing the skyscraper. The Fly battles a Mud Toad(?) in the arena, then a long-necked dinosaur-beast. The Toads are convinced an attack would be suicidal and return the skyscraper.

An "enemy" fleet of bombers soars toward an "unsuspecting country". The Shield jumps atop a wing and fires lightning bolts, dodges shells, crashes jets, and wrecks the fleet. The Army thinks it "must have been a stray meteor or a freak storm." The Shield is "The Man Who Spies on Spies!"

At a talent show, Marco loses. He gets mobsters to finance a big-eyed billboard that hypnotizes bankers and jewelers to steal goods and deliver to thugs. The Fly beats a thug and learns the sign has periscope and speaker that magnifies Marco's hypnotism. The Fly enters and is hypnotized, but cons Marco into taking a bow, breaking his glare. "The 'eyes' have it!"

Cruel Mister March takes Tommy's fly ring for slacking washing floors. Later a junk-plane flies over the city and rips out bank vaults with magnetism. The plane lands in the desert where Hans Yunkmann, the "Junkman", crafted the plane for thugs. Another pass over town rips loose metal, and Tommy snatches his ring from the air. Becoming The Fly, he flies to the desert, dodges thugs and a giant mechanical flyswatter. He sets the magnetism machine to trigger too high, and super-magnetism rips the compound apart. Back home, Tommy gets permission to retrieve his ring.
