Captain Marvel [Billy Batson]; Three Lieutenant Marvels [Fat Billy [Billy Batson] (introduction origin); Hill Billy [Billy Batson] (introduction, origin); Tall Billy [Billy Batson] (introduction, origin)]; Joe (Policeman); Dr. Thaddeus Bodog Sivana (villain); Captain Death (villain); Herr Geyer (villain); Biggy Brix (villain)
Three young men from different areas of the country (Texas, the Ozarks, and Brooklyn), all named Billy Batson, were reading Captain Marvel’s comic book adventures and happened to wonder if saying “Shazam” would work for them as well. As it happened, Tall Billy, Hill Billy, and Fat Billy were captured, along with the real Billy, by Sivana and his gang. When they all said the magic word at the same time, each was transformed into one of the Lieutenant Marvels, having powers akin to Captain Marvel.
