"Reprinted by popular demand". After taking a beating, Wile E. Coyote says “Oooooh! That smarts!”, which was one of Michael Maltese’s oft-used catch phrases for the Hanna-Barbera Quick Draw McGraw cartoons that he wrote, at or around the same time this story originally appeared. Maltese gets the call as writer of this story.

Daffy Duck and Beaky Buzzard wandered through the noisy street carnival, looking at the bright lights, listening to the blaring music, and wishing they had some money to spend.
At a carnival, Beaky buys a “magic apple” that is said to grant him three wishes. Daffy is skeptical but circumstances manage to work out so that Beaky’s wishes end up granted.
