Johnny Thunder [John Tane]
Schoolteacher John Tane (secretly Johnny Thunder) tells his students "criminals are stupid to think they can break the law" and the kids should be unofficial lawmen like Johnny Thunder. His lecture boomerangs when a gang captures John Tane and forces him to dress as Johnny Thunder so they can kill him in public view! Johnny pulls a double-switch to beat the thugs and, with a wounded arm, must fill in as schoolmaster for a week!

Strong Bow
Strong Bow
In Alaska, a chief and his children are set adrift on an ice floe to die over the Roaring Clouds falls. The chief says Strong Bow will save them. The kids say he's just a legend. The chief relates Strong Bow's "origin" about his tests in besting a polar bear, riding a chinook salmon and eagle - just as Strong Bow's vine-arrows rescue them from death over the falls!

The Trigger Twins
Trigger Twins [Walt Trigger; Wayne Trigger]
Storekeeper Wayne goes missing, and "born fumbler" Walt, the nominal sheriff, must find him. He tracks a kidnapper but is wounded in the arm and captured. Wanye cuts loose on his spurs, changes clothes, and goes guns down and fights the bandits - using only one arm! Walt wants to tell the truth about his storekeeper-hero brother, but Wayne won't let him shake the town's confidence. Yet Walt tells a girl, "There's more to Wayne than you think!"
