Sin invades one of her father's old bases where she retrieves a mystic hammer and becomes possessed by the spirit of Skadi. She then travels to the ocean floor and meets the Serpent who refers to himself as All-Father. Meanwhile, the heroes of Earth hold a press conference, claiming that they will rebuild Asgard. Odin is angry about this and tells Thor he must choose between his people and mankind. As a terrible prophecy begins to unfold, Odin commands his subjects back across the rainbow bridge to the remnants of Asgard. Thor defies his father who beats him up and drags him along anyway.

Iron Man distributes weapons and armor he created in Asgard to the heroes of Earth so they can stand against the Serpent and his forces. Just as the Serpent is about to reach the World Tree and trigger Odin's invasion of Earth, Thor kills him with the sword Ragnarok, losing his own life in the process. Odin transports his fallen son back to Asgard and closes the rainbow bridge behind him, exiling the rest of the Asgardians on Earth. Tony gives Steve back his shield which was repaired in the forges of Asgard. Everyone gets to work repairing the massive amounts of damage the Serpent caused.
