An amateur astronomer discovers an asteroid some 50,000 miles from the Earth, and his electron microscope detects that the asteroid is loaded with gold. Captain Midnight and Icky fly him to the asteroid to get the gold....but the astronomer disagrees with the Captain about WHO gets that gold, and his men attack the Captain and Icky over the matter after they arrive. As it turns out, the gold is actually fool's gold!

Hot on the trail of Jagga, Captain Albright gets an SOS from the planet Venus. When he and Icky land, they are greeted by Dr. Krell, originally from the planet Earth and a descendant of the lost kingdom of Atlantis. The SOS was sent, he says, because Jagga has taken over rule of his planet, so Captain Midnight confronts the evil tyrant. In a brief battle, Midnight drives Jagga away, but the villain drops a bomb toward Venus and Midnight thinks fast to counteract it.

Captain Midnight becomes the star witness against Jagga, the Space Raider, who then surprises everyone on the courtroom when he announces that he is not a human being, therefore the laws of the nation do not apply to him! Even so, the court finds him guilty, and is sentenced to death, but further shocks all when the electric chair cannot kill him and he makes good his escape. Midnight tracks him down and leads his to his personal laboratory, when Jagga is supposedly killed by Midnight's radioactive ray machine.

Like Columbus before him, Captain Albright and Icky head into space to discover a new planet. Upon arrival, they are met by a green-skinned inventor, who shows Albright and Icky some of his inventions. Suddenly, they are attacked by the Purple Men, and, during the battle, the villains use the Molecular Projector to bring four infamous villains from the past to do battle. Unable to overcome Captain Midnight, the villains board Cap's spaceship and head toward Eath to enslave its people. Accomplishing this, Cap is further honored by having the new planet named Planet Albright!

Discovering signs of life on Saturn, Cap and Icky head for the planet and are menaced by weird shapes in the sky. Landing, they are taken prisoner and brought before Xog, Saturn King, who plans to invade the Earth and become its ruler, using a gaseous ring to create creature-warriors and rocket ships out of nothing! Captain Midnight invents a Gas Disintegrator and uses it to attack the created Saturn beings and ships.
