Strong Bow
Elkhorn, a conniving medicine man, demands "gifts" be left on the Medicine Tree to be carried away by the Thunderbird eagle. The tribe is impoverished and hungry. Strong Bow, the Wandering Warrior, shoots himself as a "human arrow" onto a mountain and finds the "gifts" scented with mesquite flowers. He switches the essence on the offerings to make the eagle accept his bow as a gift, exposing the medicine man as a shyster - who must return everything.
