While Danny sleeps at a Western ranch, Rex hears cries for help. He scatters timber wolves away from sheep, pulls a calf from quicksand, saves a colt from an eagle and eel. He finally collapses besides Danny's bed, only to hear, "Get up, sleepyhead!"

Detective Chimp
Detective Chimp [Bobo]
A woman from an Animal Farm requests Bobo's help to make a new arrival, a rare albino monkey from Zanzibar, feel welcome. But they find the crate empty! Bobo suspects another Animal Farm down the road stole the monkey, so adopts a weird antlers-and-tail "disguise" to be the rarest monkey ever. The rival zoo owner chases Bobo right to the missing monkey, and gets his gun knocked away. The monkey feels welcome as Bobo says, "You'll like this civilized jungle... once you get used to it!"

Rex the Wonder Dog
Rex the Wonder Dog
Danny's friend, Ward, has fallen in with the Golden Hawks, juvenile delinquents in a gang. Danny asks Ward to "take care of Rex" for a while. In a hot rod race with the Blazing Arrows, Rex saves a boy's life with a quick shove. Ward locks Rex up for a midnight run, but Rex wiggles free and pursues. The gang challenges Ward to steal car parts, and he balks. With Rex's help, the cops grab the gang. Reformed, Ward makes speeches about giving wayward kids better guidance and supervision.
