Reptile men from space are seen stalking the New York countryside, led by a larger dragon-like version calling itself Draco. The next day, Peter Parker detects something strange about the NY sewers. Investigating as Spider-Man, he discovers Draco's HQ, and foils his plans by flooding the sewers. Later that night, after the "dragon men" have been revealed as robots, Spidey is attacked atop the Empire State Building by Draco, who turns out to be a Nobel-winning biologist, transformed by iguana DNA. Their battle ends with Draco falling from the ESB, his wings apparently as fake as his "invasion".

Art contains numerous swipes of Gil Kane and Steve Ditko Spider-Man figures. Terry Austin inking per Nick Caputo, January 2014. The inker attribution may be confirmed by a panel, in which (just below J. Jonah Jameson's speech) a note can be seen tacked to the noticeboard that is just about legible as "austin".

On the first page, between Draco's hand and Spidey's foot, there is a sign on a rooftop that reads "L & P" - perhaps this is some indication of the artists' identity?
