One fine early spring day Dinky was strolling around the barnyard smelling the fresh southern breezes that were gently moving their welcome way through the farm grounds.
Every animal is useful or admired around the farm, except Dinky. That is, until a baby chick needs rescuing by someone who can “swim like a duck”.

For the first two pages of this story, Mitzi’s normally black hair is colored yellow, perhaps giving readers the impression that she is Mighty Mouse’s old flame, Pearl Pureheart. The coloring error is rectified on page 3 and onward.

Heckle and Jeckle add an electronic brain to a scarecrow and use it as a money-making device to do various household tasks. The electronic part comes loose while the scarecrow is hanging wallpaper in a lady hippo’s house. The papering gets way out of control, in absurd Jim Tyer fashion.
