Synopsis: After her mother’s death, Marie is befriended by family lawyer Jeff. She enrolls in a secretarial training school. One night she and fellow student Ruth go on a double date and on the spur of the moment decide to marry their two escorts, who claim to be soldiers on leave. When Marie tells Jeff, he exposes the marriage as a sham: Ruth and the men tricked Marie, who gave her “husband” money to rent an apartment. Jeff and Marie discover they are in love.
