Some of the hands and faces looks like Alvarado, but not the horses. They have more of Ushler, except the eyes and inking. There are some Gene stories with the same pencilling, but with different inking from this one. Uncertain credits.

The open hands of Firfires looks more like gloves than hands, and his faces and stiff figures are easy to spot. His horses are very elegant.

The artwork is found in many Gene Autry stories, but the artist is quite elusive, maybe Al McKimson, by the face of Mrs Dayton. The faces of men with mustache is very common.

Booger Red was the greatest rider in the Southwest.

The art is not signed, but the special marked nostril of the horse must be Lenox.
