The faces reveals Al McKimson, a pen name for several artists. First the brothers Chuck and Tom McKimson. Others were Pete Alvarado, John Ushler, Randy Steffen, Andrew Bensen, Hi Mankin, Mike Arens, Alex Toth. The art may vary a bit since several of them could work on the same story (by R W Phillips).

The Writer infos come from the book "Roy Rogers: a biography, radio history, television career chronicle ..." by Robert W. Phillips. The artist Ray Thayer had most of the Chuckwagon Charley's Tales. In Jerry Bail's Who's Who, he is credited to Zane Grey FC#449 Tappan's Burro. Using that as a start, it is easy to pick out the rest of his work in the 50's, and this is one.
