Professor Keenbean demonstrates a vacuum-like invention that was created to trap ghosts. Instead of catching ghosts, though, it repeatedly captures people and objects. Richie, Reggie and the professor move the machine to an old abandoned mansion, where they hope it is less likely to interfere with people and more likely to encounter real ghosts. Reggie dresses as a ghost to scare Richie and Keenbean, but ends up getting scared himself. Finally, some real ghosts find a use for the invention.
