Synopsis: Irona has so much gold to polish that Richie and his father turn to their robot factory to see if they can find a helper for her. Dr. Tinker suggests the X-33 would be a good gold polisher. But when the Pilfer brothers, two scientists working at the factory with less than noble intentions, make some changes, the X-33's primary motivation becomes stealing gold. Once it starts working in the Rich estate, Richie and Irona realize that something is wrong.

Synopsis: The X-33 continues to "gobble" gold and Richie sees the Pilfer brothers emptying its contents and taking the gold items away. After speaking with X-33 in robot language, Irona determines that the robot does not want to steal but has been reprogrammed by the Pilfer brothers. However, it agrees to help Richie and Irona nab the culprits. When they sneak onto the estate to unload X-33 yet again, it spits out the gold objects with such force that the thieves run for the closest door they see, which just happens to be the door on a police van.

After a couple of mishaps, he amuses himself by causing other people grief. As usual, though, Richie manages to turn the tables on him.
