While Ginger is working at the diner Kitty Carson comes running in asking to be hidden. Right after this some thugs come in looking for her. Ginger tries to fight them but she is taken with Kitty to the thugs' airplane. They figure she is too ditzy to cause them any trouble so they drop her out of the plane with a parachute. She has to figure out how to get the police to believe her and rescue Kitty from the thugs.

A Japanese plane drops American newspapers with fake headlines as propaganda. Ginger picks up one and believes it so she goes running to her friends that go along with the gag and tell her that the fighter squadrons are about to leave in retaliation. She is so excited that she runs into the commanding officer in the doorway. She is knocked loopy and tries to help the squadron in her dreams.
