After Mr. Woody's carpentry work failed once again, Mr. Rich decides to have Mr. Woody do other work aside from carpentry for a while, including polishing a statue, and giving the pool a gold paint job. There is one problem: he forgot to drain the pool and paint the inside, so Richie finished the task and Mr. Woody got the credit.

A mother of two young girls appreciates how wealthy Richie Rich is and one of the girls remarks on how lucky she is to receive expensive gifts from Richie. But Gloria clarifies her refusal to accept luxury gifts, and when Richie comes over and offers to store his luxury items in her house, she is so embarrassed. To make up for it, he offers a diamond and gold jewel box filled with bubble gum - the latter of which Gloria cannot resist.
