Ellen follows her mother’s example: “I had to show him who was boss!” Bob’s offered a job in Los Angeles, but Ellen’s mother says she’ll pay him double to stay. Her husband urges Bob to take the first job so he won’t wind up henpecked like he is. Ellen overhears and agrees that she and Bob will go to L.A. and be equals from now on.
