Alice and Frank both work in a factory. They fall in love, although Frank is upset with Alice’s impulsiveness and her belief that “something will always turn up” to solve her problems. Frank loses an order and thus a promotion which would have allowed them to get married. When they’re given another chance by the buyer, Alice carelessly signs Frank’s name to the order without consulting him. Frank is fired and the company is threatened with a lawsuit, and Frank breaks up with Alice. She apologizes to the boss and to the irate buyer, and everything is resolved. Alice and Frank reconcile.
