Synopsis: Tom is engaged to Phyllis but is sent to fight in Korea. One day, a Korean girl named Nona arrives to stay with Tom’s parents. Nona doesn’t speak English. Phyllis assumes Tom fell in love with Nona in Korea, so she begins a campaign to make the young woman feel unwanted. Finally Nona runs away. Tom arrives and tells Phyllis that Nona’s father saved his life in Korea but died as a result, and Tom promised to take care of Nona. Phyllis finds Nona and apologizes to her. Tom and Phyllis reconcile.

Synopsis: Angry because she and her aunt are forced to vacate a rented house in favor of the large Keagen family, Janet spreads gossip about them in the town. However, she dates Ralph Keagen and they fall in love, and is sorry for her previous actions. Janet mistakenly thinks Ralph is cheating on her, and accuses Ralph of shirking his military duty. Ralph, who wasn't cheating on her, turns out to be a decorated Korean War veteran and the whole town turns against Janet. She leaves town in disgrace.
