Synopsis:
Receptionist Linda meets Keith when he performs some work for her firm. They become friends but Keith rejects her attempts to become closer. Linda goes to gloomy Harkness Hall where he lives with his grandmother, and is invited to spend a few days there. Keith later explains that the men in his family have always reacted badly to “the curse of woman’s infidelity” (his own father committed suicide). Neighbour Tommy tries to kiss Linda and Keith decides to kill himself, but when it’s proven that Tommy’s advances were unwanted, Keith and Linda decide to marry and live happily ever after.
