The Crypt of Terror
Zach is a good guy and an honest butcher, but all this rationing is making it hard to stay in business. So, he turns to selling his best meat on the black market. But, what can he sell to his regular customers? Aha! He begins buying horse meat and selling it off as steak. But, one batch of horse meat is tainted and a few customers die of food poisoning. And, as it turns out, Zach's son was having dinner at the house of one of them. When their son dies, Zach's wife isn't too happy about it. So, she ensures the shop has plenty of meat on the shelves the next morning. Zach meat.

The Vault of Horror
When a construction company's shoddy workmanship causes several deaths, one of the leading partners is arrested, ironically the only honest partner. Unrepentant, the others board a plane on the way to a new job. But, the nighttime flight in bad weather comes to an end when the plane gets tangled in cables strung between two mountains. Wait a minute, those aren't cables. It's a very big spider-web! And a very big spider!

Crime SuspenStories
Vic and Joe are biologists who work in the same lab. Longtime friends, they're both horrified when Joe trips and accidentally injects Vic with Black Plague. Vic goes for a walk, then stops by Joe's house to commiserate with him. But, Joe's not home, and when the phone rings, Vic answers. It's Joe, who wastes no time gloating that the "accident" was intentional, revenge for Vic always getting credit for discoveries. So, Vic tracks Joe down and kills him. Only then does he find the note explaining it was all just a joke meant to lighten the mood in the lab. It IS April 1st, after all.

Crime SuspenStories
Jerry married Mona for her money, and they both know it. On a road trip to Florida, Jerry meets pretty, young Jane. That pretty much makes Mona expendable and Jerry kills her. He ties weights to her body and dumps her into a nearby lake, later claiming that she left him after an argument. But, Jerry doesn't realize that the area is a popular tourist destination. One big attraction is tours of the lake. With glass-bottom boats. It doesn't take long for Mona to be found.
