American and British forces are at war on the high seas in 1812. British ships take seamen off American ships and make raids on the coast. In Cape Cod, Massachusetts, a lighthouse keeper, goes for supplies, leaving his three children at the lighthouse. As they play on top of the dunes, a British man-of-war drops anchor in the bay. The girls send Simon to the village to warn the town. Oarsmen in longboats are making their way toward land. The girls fool the British into thinking a large army of American troops is on the other side of the dunes by playing Yankee Doodle on fife and drum.

Where Are You?
You are in a park with a 50-mile, fog drenched shoreline with rain forest and glaciers. No roads cleave through the park. Trees upholstered in mossy green velvet lend a jungle air to the forest. During the brief summer season, hundreds of plant varieties blaze with color. It was established in 1938 and has 888,558 acres of lush wilderness. It contains the finest primeval rain forest in the country. It's Olympic National Park, in the state of Washington.
