Reggie still thinks it's Jughead until Jughead shows up not in costume and all the guys run past the girls in their hurry to get away from the bear.

He spends 15 minutes trying to hypnotize Mr. Weatherbee into thinking he's a kangaroo, with no apparent result. Satisfied, Mr. Weatherbee leaves, hopping away like a kangaroo.

When Jughead is named as an heir in his uncle's will, Reggie thinks Jughead has inherited money. He buys him malteds at the Choklit Shop and lets him have cash, ensuring him that it's not a loan, to get in Jughead's good graces in hopes of getting part of the inheritance. When he realizes that Jughead's uncle is still alive, Reggie wants the money back, so he pays five dollars to a farmer for his cow. He sells the "meat" to Jughead, but when Jughead sees that it's a cow, he's not disappointed. To settle things with the farmer, Reggie has to pay twenty dollars to get the cow back from Jughead.

Souphead demonstrates his politeness by helping an elderly lady across the street. Jughead is proud, but Souphead explains it was "politics" since the lady he helped is his school teacher.

Archie and Reggie moan about not knowing what the answer could be. Jughead says he knows, but he doesn't care about the Maya Society. Reggie and Archie both want the answer, but Jughead says he will give the answer to the higher bidder. Reggie pays him with a month of free hamburgers at the Choklit Shop. Archie is sad until Jughead shows him the pin he got for telling Mr. Weatherbee the answer the day before.

Archie says he'll just ask her again once the day is up, but he promised the ticket to Jughead. Jughead admits he knew why Betty said 'no' the whole time, so Archie pays him back by tying Jughead up in a bag to "watch" the game.

He shows him an edition of "Canterbury Tales" written "way back in thirteen hundred something." He is so mad at Jughead that he throws the book, commenting that Jughead is the first person to be hit by a "flying Chaucer."

Jughead fears he is lost, but when Souphead finally returns, Jughead is so happy he promises to get him anything he wants. Souphead wants the biggest kite in Riverdale. Jughead gets the kite as promised, but also gets a ball and chain to attach to Souphead's leg before he flies the kite.
