Beast Boy heads to Hollywood to re-start his acting career and moves in with his slacker cousin Matt. Though he can't land an agent, he does get recognized by a fangirl at a bar for his work on Space Trek 2020. After brushing her off, Beast Boy has to intervene when she is later harassed by another patron named Magilla. When Magilla picks up the fangirl and heads for the back door, Beast Boy follows, but by the time he catches up, Magilla is dead in the alley, the fangirl is nowhere to be found, and Gar is face-to-face with the police.

Beast Boy heads for Matt's apartment where he is greeted by Fear and Loathing. After a prolonged fight, they flee, leaving Matt and Gar to the L.A.P.D. Once Beast Boy is back in prison, Beast Boy's twin makes a call on Gar's old producer, Don Dickerson, but Nightwing arrives demanding answers.
