Radioactive Man [Claude Kane III]; Claude Kane II; Gloria Grand; The Go-Go Czechs; Byron Bragg (first appearance); Mufelatto, the Aliment Man [Bob] (first appearance; origin); Jawa (first appearance); Beryl Bragg (first appearance)
Scientist Claude Kane II (Radioactive Man's father) and his assistant Byron Bragg create a vat of acid containing a unique compound. During a scuffle, Bob, the food delivery boy from Haney's market, falls into the vat with a load of groceries and emerges as Mufelatto, the Aliment Man. When Beryl Bragg falls for Mufelatto, Jawa plots revenge. Byron Bragg's plan to exploit Mufelatto is foiled when Radioactive Man reverses the chemical reaction, turning Mufelatto back into Bob.

Mufelatto, Byron Bragg, Beryl Bragg and Jawa are all homages to DC Comics' Metamorpho and his supporting cast, which were created by Bob Haney and Ramona Fradon in 1964. Byron is mistakenly called Symon on page 7. The script is loaded with Haney-style food puns.
