Challengers of the Unknown
Challengers of the Unknown [Ace Morgan; Rocky Davis; Red Ryan]; Harold Moffet; a prostitute; citizens; soldiers; rehab patients; counselors; Dr. Franz; wanderers; Multi-Man (in dream); Corinna Stark (in dream); Wonder Woman (in dream); Catwoman (in dream); June Robbins (in dream); Rocky's father (in dream)
Reporter Harold Moffet sifts articles about people going nuts with suicide and murder. He identifies one photo and tracks Duncan Pramble, the former Multi-Man, finding a hooker who reveals, "Duncan Pramble claims he blew up Challenger Mountain!" Hundreds of people flock to the ruins. Meanwhile, Ace wanders the Amazon, seeing Red's reflection in a pool. Ace traces a "door" and jumps to Red, who is surrounded by flames and soldiers and contemplating suicide. Ace transports them away. Rocky has been in rehab, admitting he's an alcoholic with no sense of purpose. Red and Ace appear from thin air!
