Sky Gal [Ginger Maguire]
A Japanese plane drops American newspapers with fake headlines as propaganda. Ginger picks up one and believes it so she goes running to her friends that go along with the gag and tell her that the fighter squadrons are about to leave in retaliation. A Phantom Lady story by Bill Black as a homage to Matt Baker.

This reprint is in color unlike the B&W original from Phantom Lady (Paragon, 1979 series) #2 (1979) [aka The Fox Features Phantom Lady Comic Book Index]. It is also re-lettered and has slight modifications to script, some panels and backgrounds. (Some to keep with this issues theme of Betty Page). Title charactor logo has been changed from "Phantom Lady" to "Phantom Lady X".

Interesting to note is the plot/story basis of this is orginally from a story called "Zarro the Great" from the "Glory Forbes" feature from Rangers Comics (Fiction House, 1942 series) #40 (April 1948). Go and compare the 1st splash panels.
