During her battle with the Avengers, Rogue absorbs the power of Thor until there is nothing left of the thunder god. She takes up Mjolner and returns to the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. After she accidentally destroys the plane carrying her team, she is contacted by Loki who brings her to Asgard to begin a new life. Loki talks her into helping him depose Odin but the Avengers, Fantastic Four and Asgardian heroes stand in the way. With the noble soul of the son of Odin now part of her psyche, Rogue becomes the new Thor.
